  57.         any screen from other programs, which have been terminated by

  61.         interface and an "ask-before-closing" option.  Version 1.2,

  120. FoCo        Format controller.  A graphical user interface for disk for-
  121.         matting.  Pops up on disk insertion or via hotkey.  Version

  126. FRequest    FRequest is a handy program which lets you select a file by
  127.                 using the ASL file requester and executes a CLI command with
  128.                 the given selection.  FRequest can be easily used in batch
  129.         files and has a lot of options.  You can use it as an frontend
  130.                 for any program which does not support filerequester select-
  131.         ions.  It exchanges '[]' in  the specified command line with
  132.         the selection.  It has a debug ability that allows testing of
  133.         options before execution.  This is version 1.5.  OS 2.xx only.

  137. LoadLibrary    Another LoadLib program, but this version runs in it's own

  174. AutoRunner    Automatically executes a CLI command line when you insert a
  175.         disk into a drive.  All you do is put a special tag at the
  176.         beginning of a comment in the disk's root directory.  After
  177.         the comment tag, you put a normal CLI comand line.  AutoRunner
  178.         then executes this command when the disk is inserted.  Version
  179.         2.0, Pascal source included.

  182. FO        CLI based Fast Optimizer for AmigaDOS disks.  It can optimize
  183.         one disk in less than 2 min, 30 sec.  Allows optimization for

  186.         version 1.3, an update to version 1.0 on disk 537.  Binary

  191.         machine.  Includes multiple destinations, automatic turn on

  196. Hextract    A complete header file reference.  Definitions, structures,
  197.         structure members and offsets, flag values, library contents,
  198.         function definitions, registers, library offsets, etc. The
  199.         data from a set of V1.3 Amiga and Lattice header files is
  200.         packed into the included file "headers.z" for immediate
  201.         reference by Hextract.  Version 1.2, an update to version

  205. IList        A simple list program which displays the data of all open
  206.         screens and their connected windows.  OS 2.xx only.  Version

  210. NFD        Newest File Date.  Searches the specified directory for the
  211.         newest file, then returns that filename and path as an ARP
  212.         global variable.  For people without ARP, it allows you to
  213.         execute a command line, specified as a parameter, with the
  214.         file name and path inserted at a specified point.  Sample
  215.         usage would to be have a word processor automatically load
  216.         the last file worked on when it was invoked.  Includes source

  220. P-Index        A program for creating active index/selector pages to replace
  221.         the normal window/icon display.  Appearance of pages is only
  222.         limited by the capabilities of your paint program and your 
  223.         imagination.  Index lines can be shown as arrays of boxes (as
  224.         with current "selector" programs), or as icon look-alikes, or
  225.         anything else you fancy, with normally a large saving in disk

  229. P-Reader    An all purpose reader that displays texts, pictures, animations
  230.         and sounds, which may be uncompressed or compressed with
  231.         P-Compress.  Texts can include embedded static or animated

  236. Statistics    Provides statistical data on ASCII text files regarding file
  237.         length, number of letters, words and sentences, average word

  247.         a tool which greatly simplifies the design and implementation
  248.         of an ARexx interface for a program.  Provides a graphical in-
  249.         terface in which to enter the command arguments and results,
  250.         then creates the C source;  one module containing necessary
  251.         basic functions and another containing the interface stub rou-
  252.         tines to which you only have to add your code to.  This is

  343. DeliTracker    A powerful and system friendly music player.  Features include

  345.         interface and xpk support.  DeliTracker will play all popular

  347.         over 40 different module formats.  The most important players
  348.         (PT/ST/NT) are internal.  Additional players (like MED, 8SVX,

  362.         gets, multiple file editing, iconification, reentrant and can
  363.         be made resident.  Written in Oberon, version 1.30, binary

  367. LogMan        The Log Manager allows you to manipulate your log files to a
  368.         greater degree than other log managers.  LogMan operates on
  369.         a personalized script file.  You can insert a call to LogMan
  370.         in your startup-sequence or in your "mail" script.  LogMan
  371.         will call the script and check certain parameters.  Requires
  372.         kickstart 1.3 or 2.0 to operate.  Version 1.003, freeware,
  373.         binary only.

  376. PaperBack    Allows the user to generate a double sided document from a
  377.         single sided one.  Two output documents are created: an ODDS
  378.         set and an EVENS set.  The odds set can be printed on single
  379.         sheet or tractor feed paper, reversed and re-inserted in the
  380.         printer, then the even set can be printed on the reverse side.
  381.         Page sizes are all fully editable by the user, along with cer-
  382.         tain other parameters.  Handles predefined page breaks elo-
  383.         quently.  Saves paper, and storage space.  Requires kickstart

  387. PED        A source text editor which supports all important standard
  388.         editor commands.  It accepts mouse and keyboard commands, and
  389.         will run from CLI and from Workbench.  PED doesn't use the op-

  394. PhxAss        A MC68000 Macro Assembler which supports includes, incbins,
  395.         small data and small code model, optimization, 12 arithmetic
  396.         operations, relocatable and absolute code, floating point

  398.         can be used from CLI only.  This is version 2.11, binary only.

  401. PhxLnk        An Amiga DOS Linker which is very small (7 KB) and processes
  402.         the small-code/data model.  It does not support overlay hunks

  407. VoiceEditor    A tool to edit, save, load, and convert instruments of Roland
  408.         D-20 Synthesizers (and compatibles, like D-10) via MIDI.  You

  411.         and midi.library are used and included.  Version 2.0, binary

  415. ZipWd        ZipWd is a little example code of the new OS 2.xx feature of
  416.         zipping windows.  It does the same thing as clicking on the
  417.         window's ZipGadget.  It's also useful if you define a keyboard
  418.         macro with ZipWd.  Requires AmigaOS 2.xx.  Version 0.5, public
  419.         domain, includes source.

  426. AddIcon        A useful tool that copies icons to a given file or directory.
  427.         It supports pattern matching and has various options.  It
  428.         first looks at the suffixes of the files and for chunks to
  429.         identify their types, then it copies the right type of icon
  430.         to the files.  These icons should be located in the Icons:
  431.         drawer.  Contains all needed icons.  OS 2.xx only.  FreeWare
  432.         version 1.7, binary only.

  435. CFX        Crunched File eXaminer allows the user to examine and find
  436.         files using several different search criteria.  CFX knows a
  437.         huge amount of the current Amiga filetypes, including a vast
  438.         number of "cruncher" types.  CFX can also give in-depth dis-
  439.         assemblies of crunched files, including most address crunched
  440.         files, relocator crunched files, and some major archive crun-
  441.         ched types.  This version requires kick 1.3 or 2.0.  Version
  442.         5.242, freeware, binary only.

  445. Create        A replacement for the "makedir" command.  It can create dir-
  446.         ectories and files.  Useful for some editors and other pro-
  447.         grams that allow you to you define a file to load at start-
  448.         time.  In this case files can be created before calling these
  449.         programs that usually give you nervous requesters on non-
  450.         existing files.  It accepts multiple files and directories,
  451.         and is also useful for batchfiles.  OS 2.xx only.  This is
  452.         version 1.1, freeware, binary only.

  455. DockBrushes    Two PAL pictures containing brushes to be used with AmiDock
  456.         (Shareware program by Gary Knight), or other such utilities.
  457.         One is in hi-res (640 x 256 2 bit planes), the other in hi-

  461. ExecMaster    A tool that allows you to start scripts, programs and rexx
  462.         scripts in different ways.  You can optionally specify an out-
  463.         put.  This could be a file or even a window.  It has the abil-

  465.         command support.  It fully supports PublicScreens.  OS 2.xx

  469. FontViewQ    A commodity to display a table of characters of any Amiga
  470.         font, which is chosen by a font requester.  The characters are
  471.         clickable to show you the ASCII value and the key combination
  472.         to press.  With AmigaOS 2.1 a localization takes place (cur-
  473.         rently German and French).  Version 1.2, includes source.

  476. SaveW        SaveW is the counterpart of SizeW.  It saves the current win-
  477.         dow coords to a file (if given) or to STDOUT.  Includes some

  482. SizeW        SizeW is a tool that lets you change the size and the place
  483.         of the currently active window.  You can specify coords from
  484.         commandline or optionally from a file.  This is a companion

  489. SplitQ        Opposite of the AmigaDos 'JOIN' command.  A portion of the
  490.         file specified by offset from the beginning and length is
